Mud and Tape

More progress in the downstairs powder room! Things are really starting to come along now.

The walls are now "paint ready". I think I'll pop into a local wallpaper store just to be 100% sure that we don't want to go that route.

Still to do:
- Molding
- Paint or Paper
- Connect electricity and hang lighting fixtures
- Install tile & baseboard
- Install the sink and toilet & connect plumbing

Btw, to see just how far we've come, click on the "Powder Room Renovation" link under LABELS on the left hand side of this blog.)

Ah... You can really get a feel for it now. Lovely! As for wallpaper -- they make such beautiful ones these days. However, I already know my husband would put a big veto on that, so we'll be using paint.

Love seeing the progress!

Exciting to be close to be putting in finishes! Hmm the wallpaper/paint choice is a hard one. I love all of the fun geometric choices for small powder rooms but knowing me I'd eventually get sick of it and need to tear it down which would be a big pain. A lot of people have been using paint stencils that mimic wallpaper put can be just painted over in the future.

It is looking much better since last time :). I love the moldings around the window, so big and gorgeous. Wallpaper might be fun, they have some amazing wall stencils out now too. I guess it depends on how much work you want to put into it. Can't wait to see the final results! Have a great weekend.
