Chic Chinoiserie

Is it just me, or is everyone else obsessed with all things chinoiserie?

Will someone please buy this so I can live vicariously through you? It comes in 7 colors. Good luck choosing one.
Shades of Light, $350
Or maybe you need something a little smaller?
Shades of Light, $149
Of course, then you'll need some pillows to go with your new lighting...
Etsy Seller- House of Pemberley, $85
And you'll want to make that old chest of drawers look a little fancier with a set of new pulls.
Chinese Brass Hardware, $11.95 (set of 2)
Since it is your money I'm spending, you might as well go ahead and have a chair upholstered in this
Lilly Pulitzer for Lee Jofa, Tail Lights
Not enough chinoiserie for you? Well, you could always surround yourself in it.
Quadrille
Or perhaps you'd like to take your chinoiserie outside?
Home Decorators Collection, $1999

Love love those faux bamboo chandeliers from Shades of Light! I have them on my design boards for our new home...I wanted to buy the large one in coral for my dining room-- and they sent me a swatch of the coral color to see if it would work..and it did not...sadly! But the smaller white one will find a place! Take care, Caroline

haha thank you for spending all of my money. I like what you chose, especially the drawer pulls. :) (I also didn't know what 'chinoiserie' was...nor could I spell it when I went to re-type it....bad English teacher)

Posts like these get me itching to buy my own home so that I can make some meaningful renovations to a space. LOVE all of the wallpaper options, as well as the Shades of Light chandeliers!

And really, what's not to love??? Because I am seriously considering a room with *ALL* of this (c: And I'm pretty sure I had to look up how to say this word and practice saying it so I don't sound like an idiot! I can't believe I just admitted to that.

If only I were brave enough to put a pink lantern light and upholster a chair in that color...Those accents with a predominately blue and white room? Dreamy.

I'm loving it too, I would be happy with a chandelier in this style or a whole new set of dining chairs...I just need something!

I love this style too! The first chandelier and drawer pulls might be my favorites!

Yup, I could do that. I just found a great place in Chinatown that sells a huge variety of knobs and pulls. Hmmm, where can I put them is the question.

Even though it wouldn't work well in my home I do love everything here. I recently saw a gorgeous chinoiserie mirror at a vintage store for only $45-I later saw a nearly identical one on line for $100's.

Hope someone borrows your plans so you can live vicariously through them!

Sign me up, Carrie. I specified that first light for a client, but they decided against it--so I still need to get it, vicariously of course!

I don't think Chinoiserie ever goes out of style. Love it! There are so many variations. We could go on this topic for ages. What a fun post party that would be. By having everyone add their fav. Chinoiserie item. Eye candy for sure.

Love your blog.
