(My Type-A tendencies compelled me include two items we already completed just so that I could cross them off and get that warm fuzzy feeling of accomplishment).
Unfortunately, these aren't the kinds of projects we'll be able to finish all in one weekend. I figure it will take us about 7-8 weekends. This will be a true test of my patience as we've only just started and I already can't wait to be done!
How did you spend your weekend?

Whew! That's a big list for one room! Oh and I would have totally included the already completed items as well. There's such a feeling of accomplishment when you can cross something off. I can't wait to see each of these things come together!
If it was me making this list, I'd totally scratch my name off of a few of those items. :P
7-8 week-ends will put you done in time for the holidays. Sort of depressing, huh? I mean, Go Team Hazardous Design!
When you love decorating your home your mind is always on it, isn't it? Whenever we go on vacation I take design magazines and a notebook with me to jot down any inspiration ideas I might find.
Good luck with your job list-I love that you wrote things down to cross them off. (I do that too!)
Oh, Carrie, you are a girl after my own heart! My husband and I have a very similar process for to-do's: we share a Google Doc and can edit and add items onto our list in real time.
Carrie, good idea. It always helps to organize your thoughts. I always recommend clients to pick out fabric or a rug first. Build your paint selections on those 2 decisions. Its always harder to find a rug and fabric you love. Paint is easily picked out to match. Good luck.
That's such a good idea! I love making spreadsheets/to-do lists.. even though it can be daunting to see the large amount of things that have to be done. :)
I need to make an updated house project to-do list. A road trip is the perfect time to do that - perhaps next weekend when I'm on a girls weekend trip (if I'm the passenger).
Ha I add completed projects to lists too! When your list is so long you can't see the end in sight it's nice to know you're making progress and at what point in the project you are. : )
Yep, I know I already commented once, but I wanted to let you know that I just gave you a Versatile Blogger award! Check it out at: http://afabulesshome.blogspot.com/2011/09/shout-outs.html
If you'll send me your button, then I'll put it on there.
You are so organised. I'm an extreme B-type and to-do lists make me yawn (or worse).
That does look like an ambitious list. I'm the same way with wanting to get it all done at once. I'm learning to be more patient so I do it right the first time.
Look at you guys, so organized! I also will add already-completed things to my list just so I can cross them off. :) Totally sympathize with the need to be patient...but the end WILL come, and then it will be SO worth the wait!!
What a list - it makes me tired just reading it.
You always make me laugh. I have created a to-do list for our upcoming move and I totally did the same thing. Add things that have been completed so that my sense of satisfaction is greater.
Sounds like fun. I still have our original list from when we bought our house 8 years ago. I still have unfinished items. Not good.
I would have added one more thing to cross off: Make a To Do List "check"
Looks like you have it covered- good teamwork!
Oh boy! That is a long list! Good luck.
It will all be worth it when you are finished. I am still in love with your bathroom!
I have to cross things off too. Sometimes I will do something, then realize I never had it on the list - so then I add it just so I can cross it off! Thanks for stopping by with your sweet comment on my dining room!

What a list! I am glad to know I'm not the only one who adds things to a list just so I can cross them off! :)
