Nope you're not seeing things, that is Christmas garland on my front porch.
While most of the country is decorating for Halloween, I'm getting a jumpstart on my holiday decorating as part of Home Depot's Holiday Design Challenge. The good folks at The Apron blog have asked a bunch of bloggers to pull together holiday looks for various areas of the home using Home Depot products provided in "mystery boxes".
My assignment is to decorate my front door. It's been like my own personal episode of Design Star.

hahhaha this is too funny! I'm trying to imagine what I might think if I see the neighbor outside today decorating for christmas. I may or may not be peering out the window, hidden from sight spying on you ;).
Too fun! I've been itching to start decorating for Christmas but my husband made me promise not until after Thanksgiving. I'll just have to live vicariously through you until then!
