Our New Old House: Exterior Revealed!

Finally!
We can close the chapter on our summer-long project to make over the exterior of our home.

It has come a long way from what it looked like when we bought it two years ago.  Then it was the wallflower of our street, literally camouflaged in paint colors of green and brown and hidden behind overgrown shrubs.

So we removed the monsterous bushes, had a new roof put on, replaced the front railing, and gave the whole house a fresh new paint job.  It has been transformed into something we are now proud to call home.

Home sweet home.

Body painted in Amherst Gray by Benjamin Moore; Trim color is Montgomery White by Benjamin Moore; Accent color is Chat Room by Sherwin Williams; Foundation Color is Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore

This is definitely a great transformation! Kudos to you! You should all be so proud of yourselves. The blue tinted roof works nicely with the overall feel of the house. Just be sure to be mindful of the house upkeep. It is best to schedule a thorough inspection of the roof annually, so that your roof would be free of compromises and would be able to have a longer service life.

I must admit, your house looks extraordinarily amazing! You did a good job in renovating it. It is now a notch higher when it comes to aesthetics. The color of the shingles particularly looks nice compared to the previous one. Congratulations for a successful home project!
