I seem to have the most difficult time selecting lighting (unless it is alabaster, and then I can't control myself). I'm getting pulled in several different directions when it comes to choosing the sconces for our downstairs hallway.
Do I go with something very simple that won't compete with the mirror?

Doublewide with an "x"?

I'm leaning towards doublewide with an "x". I like the way the "x"s in the sconces mimic the "x"s on the mirror, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

I like the x or the double swag….they just feel more substantial for that space.
The X feels like it is competing with the mirror? Is this to scale? I would go with something taller/longer. Hope that does not hurt your feelings.
X or the simple route. But what do I know?
I think I like the double wide. Seems more proportionate. Although I do think they are all awesome!
The dingles feel pretty small. I'm a fan of either of the double wides, especially the first with the swoops--though I have almost used these in a project, so perhaps I am just living vicariously. :)
Definitely thick doublewide! The singles done fill the space of the picture molding enough. Love the Xs but either works!
I vote for the double swag, the "w" works with the lines of the mirror too. Nice/helpful mock up....
I like the doublewide and X. It just seems right.
Mmm...I like the simple look but I also like the W double-wide.
I agree with the doublewide X! Looks great with the mirror! :)
Oooh, tough choice, Carrie!! Awesome mock-ups though. I vote for the double swag...maybe I'm too traditional?
I think I like the doubleswag best. It adds some roundness to all the angular lines.
Hmmm. I guess I'm in the minority because I'm liking the soho with the black shade. I love that mirror so it seems like that should be the star of the show.
I like the proportions of the double one, if it's photoshopped to scale.
I like the soho with a twist. However if you go with the double to fill the space more Ilove the X one.
I really like either of the doubles. The singles just seem dwarfed by the mirror. Whatever you chose it will be really pretty I'm sure!
I love both of the doubles options!
All great choices, but the last ones are my favorites.
Depends on how traditional you want it to end up. The double with the X is great but very traditional. If you want it a little lighter and less historical looking, I think the Soho with black shade competes LESS than the Soho with white shade and is a great simple choice. My 2 cents.
I am totally late on this, but I have both numbers 1 and 3 in my house. I am kind of digging the double swag for your space. I am happy to take pictures of both sconces if it's helpful to see them in a "real" space.
